Shamrock Texas, where Texas and Route 66 unite to bring you a boot stomping, head turning,
hat waving good time!

From the Howdy Y’all kick off on Thursday afternoon, evening in McLean, to the last two step at Saturday night's dance in Shamrock, the fun won’t stop!

With our Texas hospitality and love for Route 66 nostalgia you will experience the best that Texas has to offer at the TEXAS ROUTE 66 FESTIVAL !

Car Show

No Route 66 festival would be complete without a Car Show.
The automobile is largely responsible for The Mother Roads existence.
A Car Show acknowledges that bond and allows people of all ages to take a trip back through time.

Creative Vendors

A vital part of any Route 66 festival is the acclaimed Route 66 Artists,
Authors, Collectors and Associations (AAA). This ever growing group of
wonderful people keep the history and the future of the Road present in
our minds through their books, photos, paintings, collections and even
art & jewelry made with pieces of 66 history. The 8 State Associations
are the stewards of The Road who strive to keep Route 66 a destination &
experience, a place to come and then come back to again & again.

Rodeo and Concert

TEXAS ROUTE 66 FESTIVAL is partnering with Wheeler County to offer a true
Texas experience: a Rodeo and concert!!

There will also be an authentic Chuckwagon cookoff lunch on Saturday and Cowboy Coffee on Saturday morning.

Around the Area

While Shamrock is the host city for our TEXAS  ROUTE 66 FESTIVAL,
we hope everyone will spend a little extra time in the Texas Panhandle
exploring our 178 miles of Route 66 and visiting the businesses along the way!
The local Mom & Pop businesses along the Road are vital to the Route's continued survival and the Route 66 travelers are what keep the businesses alive.

Please check out the buttons below to discover more entertainment around the Panhandle.
